Linux Systems Fundamentals: Quest Overview

In this Quest, you will explore the fundamental aspects of the Linux operating system. You will develop critical skills, including working in the Linux bash command line to automate everyday administrative and security tasks. You will deploy and secure your virtualized and container-based system locally to gain practical experience. At the end of this course, you will be able to deploy and configure Linux devices with foundational security controls based on industry standards.

By the end of the Linux Systems Fundamentals module in this course, students will be able to:

• Describe the fundamentals of Linux operating systems and priority elements required in cybersecurity
• Practice hardening critical Linux systems to secure their operation in corporate, cloud, and product environments
