Windows Fundamentals – Quest Overview

In this training, Learners will explore the fundamental aspects of Windows operating systems. You will develop critical skills, including working in Windows PowerShell to automate everyday administrative and security tasks. You will deploy and secure a virtualized and container-based system in the cloud via Azure. At the end of this course, you will be able to execute tasks to manage access control, and you will be able to deploy and configure Windows systems with foundational security controls based on industry standards.

By the end of the Windows Fundamentals module in this course, learners will be able to:

• Describe the fundamentals of Windows operating systems and priority elements required in cybersecurity
• Practice hardening critical OS systems to secure their operation in corporate, cloud, and product environments
• Perform tasks on Active Directory instances, permissions, policies, and understand basic vulnerabilities
• Configure and manage an Azure environment for deploying Windows on a cloud environment
