Skill Check Preparation

The first Skill Check attempt is always REQUIRED. To earn the skills badge for this stage you need to score 70% or higher. To earn the certified skills badge at the end of the program, you need to average 70% across ALL skill checks. So, even if you score below 70% on one skill check, you can still raise your average by scoring better on the others. Stay positive, and keep moving forward on your learning journey!

If you pass the required Skill Check and don’t wish to attempt a higher score, there’s no need to retake it; you can click the Mark Complete button and move to the next stage. However, retrying the Skill Check could lead to a higher score. Consider this option, as your evaluation will be based on your highest score for a given Skill Check.

A Skill Check is a Timed Event. Ample time is given to work through the questions, so do not rush. You should be well-rested and prepared for the entire skill check duration. Make sure to apply your full attention to this skill check, maintaining focus and engagement throughout the learning experience until completion.

Accuracy is most important, so if there is pre-training prior to the Skill Check or context is given, make sure to review it, capturing any vocabulary and any key concepts that are new to you that you may want to note.

Before starting, we recommend that you have paper and a pencil at hand should you need to work through the solution to any problem. Also, please make sure you have made your final answer choice before clicking the Next button because you will not be able to go back and change your answer once you have selected Next on a question.
